In Gyaru Ultimate Revenge, players evolve in a Japanese society that focuses on three things: work, work, and work. As Gyaru are against the salaryman lifestyle, the government decides to put cameras and police officers everywhere, as well as establishing more and more rules to make everyone a salaryman.
20 years have passed, and our Gyaru protagonist has converted herself into a salaryman in order to survive. However, one additional rule makes her lose it, and she decides to make society great again by pushing salarymen out of their offices. Use your dash to explore the city and take down all of Kyoto's companies! Increase enemy percentage and use your chair vehicle to push them out of buildings!
My Tasks
- Focused on optimizing the game during the last month of production
- Used Unreal Insights, GPU Visualiser, and Unreal console commands to identify CPU and GPU bottlenecks
- Implemented Level Streaming and used Cull Volumes and Precomputed Visibility Volume to improve performances
- Setup LOD System
- Resolved GPU Bottlenecks and improved performances for multiple systems such as Shadows, Lighting, Materials, Occlusion Culling, Drawn Triangles, Niagara System...
- Improved CPU time by optimizing Physics collisions and destructions and switching some heavy blueprint code in C++ especially functions with a lot of mathematics calculations or Tick functions
